Family portraits are especially fun when it is a special occasion. Also, when there are young children involved! This Grandma only wanted a family portrait for her birthday. So, her two daughters made it happen. I love how they chose the outfits all in black and white. It’s always a good idea to choose two basic colors in a group this large so that the faces are what we focus on.
And it was a beautiful April day in Chico!
Cousins are happy to pose, well except for the little guy, at first. Yes you can hold my bear!
Love it!When we take the kids to the park, they want to run around. We’re at the park silly…
Of course they were promised ice cream after the pictures! It’s fun to be rewarded after being so good.
And it only took an hour (for 25 great portraits).
I love working with all ages. My many years of experience tells me that young children only have a short attention span for co-operation so it is important to work quickly. I welcome ideas that may or may not work because, this is your time and I am willing to try, after I use my poses within the time frame that I know exists.
This was Grandma’s idea.
Celebrate your family, whether it’s three generations or five!
